2 More NY Regions To Begin Phase 3 Of Reopening Businesses
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says two more regions will begin phase three of reopening businesses this week and announced new police reforms.

NEW YORK, NY — Two more regions will begin the third phase of the state's business reopening plan in the coronavirus era. Western New York will enter phase three Tuesday, followed by the Capital Region on Wednesday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said at his daily briefing Monday.
Furthermore, Cuomo said regions in phase three can allow gatherings of up to 25 people, up from 10.
He once again urged local governments to enforce laws to avoid a spike in infections, which has been seen in many other states.

Cuomo said he signed more legislation on criminal justice reform.
Under the new law, police officers must report a weapon discharge within six hours and both police departments and court must track arrest data, including race and ethnicity. Moreover, police must provide for the medical and mental health needs of anyone under arrest or in custody.
