Long Island, NY - Options for Community Living, Inc., a Long Island-based not-for-profit organization, received a grant award of $15,000 from Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Funds support affordable supportive housing programs in Nassau and Suffolk County.

“Everyone needs safe, stable housing,” said Yolanda Robano-Gross, Options’ CEO. “Some conditions make it difficult for people to maintain a stable home without help. Supportive housing combines affordable housing with intensive coordinated services to provide that assistance.”

Last year, Options’ supportive housing for formerly homeless people with disabilities and chronic health conditions provided housing for over 200 Long Islanders. The award from Bethpage Federal Credit Union will help support emergency needs for tenants as well as home maintenance which is critical to program management, tenant stability, and housing safety.
