Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County attracts some 300 people to its first ever Pride event at the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank

"PRIDE AT THE FARM" -- YAPHANK, NY -- Nearly 300 Suffolk County residents marked Gay Pride Month on June 30 by participating in a "Pride at the Farm" event at the Suffolk County Farm
and Education Center in Yaphank. Hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County and its 4-H Youth Development initiative, programming included “Drag Queen Story Hour with Bella Noche" (see photo above), a “Family Chat” session, rainbow grilled cheese demonstrations, creation of a Pride flag mural, hayrides, nutrition workshops, and other activities.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County runs an extensive Family Health and Wellness program that aims to help “diverse youth and adults reach their fullest potential as capable, competent, and caring citizens.
