Options for Community Living Promotes Stony Brooks' Georgia Kuhen and Wading River's Robin Sayles

Options for Community Living, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of two key agency personnel. Georgia Kuhen (Stony Brook) was promoted from Mental Health Residential Program director to Strategic Partnerships and Licensed Programs director. Robin Sayles (Wading River) was promoted from Mental Health Supportive Housing Program manager to director.

Georgia Kuhen, LMSW, Director, Strategic Partnerships and Licensed Programs

Georgia Kuhen is responsible for maintaining relationships with industry partners, strengthening collaborations and identifying opportunities for new alliances to promote continued agency growth and success. Kuhen monitors changes in federal and state regulations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. She also has oversight responsibility for all licensed mental health housing programs, mobile supportive services and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). As one of Options’ most experienced and senior staff members, she is directly involved with program advancement and development. Kuhen began her employment with Options in 1986 as a Community Residence coordinator and quickly distinguished herself as a highly qualified and respected leader, occupying increasingly more responsible positions in the Mental Health Program through the years. She holds a Master in Social Work degree and is a licensed professional.

Robin Sayles, LMHC, Director, Supportive Housing

Robin Sayles has oversight responsibility for Options’ scattered site Mental Health Supportive Housing Program. The program provides a full range of care management and supportive services that enable tenants to live independently in the community. Sayles is responsible for program administration; monitoring program services; building relationships with local service providers; and staff supervision, oversight and evaluation. She also ensures that all services, procedures and documentation are in compliance with all regulatory and agency mandates. Sayles joined Options in 1998 as the Supported Housing supervisor and distinguished herself as a caring and capable leader assuming growing responsibilities in Options’ Mental Health Program through the years. She holds a Masters in Mental Health Counseling degree.
