What if this was my home?

This was a big one. I could hear the sirens of my local fire department racing to potential disaster off in the distance. It was 3 o'clock in the morning so I just rolled over with the intent on getting a few more hours of sleep. The sirens continued and they seemed to get closer and closer. Now I could see the red and blue lights streaming through my bedroom window. It was a house fire and it was just one block away from my home.
