Woman Killed In Long Island House Fire
A fire claimed the life of a Long Island woman overnight.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 79-year-old Ramona Angwin.
LINDENHURST, NY – A woman was killed in a house fire in Lindenhurst early Thursday, police said.
First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call regarding a fire at 327 34th St. at 3:08 a.m. Two nearby residents attempted to enter the home but were unable to so, police said.

After the fire was extinguished by the North Lindenhurst and Lindenhurst fire departments, the body of an adult female was located inside. The woman, a resident of the home, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending notification of kin.
The Babylon Town fire marshal responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal.'
