23 New Lower East Side Apartments Range From $613 To $2.2K
Twenty-three brand new below market rate apartments hit the city's housing lottery.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β Twenty-three below market rate Lower East Side apartments are up for grabs, if you win the city's housing lottery.
The SionΓ© now has 23 "affordable" units at 171 Suffolk St. near East Houston Street, according to the city's affordable housing application website.
Rent starts at $613 for a studio for a single person making between $23,623 and $29,880 a year.

The middle bracket apartments are $1,017 for a one-bedroom and $1,230 for a two-bedroom for annual incomes between $37,577 and $69,180, depending how many people are in your household.
The priciest "affordable" studios cost $2,000 for a single person annual incomes more than $71,177. One-bedroom apartments for people making more than $78,137 cost $2,200.

The swanky new building features a 24-hour attended lobby, an on-site resident manager, a lounge, and screening room.
It also features bike storage, an on-site laundry room, a gym, a ninth floor terrace, and indoor and outdoor spaces on the 14th floor β but you'll have to shell out extra cash for those amenities.
Of the 23 apartments, 5 percent are set aside for those with physical disabilities and 2 percent are set aside for those with vision and hearing disabilities. Half the apartments are for residents in Community Board 3. Municipal employees get priority for 5 percent of apartments.
