Car-Free Weekends Return To Manhattan Throughout Summer

The Department of Transportation's car-free weekend programs return to various Manhattan neighborhoods.

MANHATTAN, NY β€” The Department of Transportation announced its 12th year of its weekend car-free events across 14 miles of city streets between May and December.

The "Weekend Walks" programming features car-free, family-friendly activities. For more information on the program see here. For a map, see here.

The DOT is partnering with 56 community-based organizations for more than 120 events, including more than a dozen in Manhattan from Chinatown through Washington Heights.

Asian Pacific American Weekend Walk
Where: Mott Street from Canal to Worth streets
When: May 19, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
