Men Beat Dad In Front Of His Kid At LES Playground, Police Say

A dad was beaten up by two men while playing with his kid at a playground on the Lower East Side, police said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β€” A dad playing with his kid at Pier 35 was beaten up by two men earlier this month, police said.

The dad, 31, was playing with his kid in a playground about 9:40 p.m. July 13, police said. He got into an argument with another man who may have pushed his child, according to police.

Two other men walked up to them and one started bashing the father in the head with keys stuck between his fingers, police said.

Police said the other man also joined in, punching him several times.

Both men ran off and the father declined medical attention, police said.
