Get a Free ID NYC at the Museum of Chinese in America Starting Aug. 16
Starting Aug. 16, the MOCA will have a pop-up where you can get your free city ID, which gives you free membership to lots of cool things.
CHINATOWN, NY β Summer 2016 is the summer of no longer putting off getting your city ID. Make an appointment now to get your free ID NYC card at a pop-up enrollment center in the Museum of Chinese in America in Chinatown.
If you're 14 or older you qualify to get a card, which gives you a free one-year membership to dozens of museums and cultural organizations in the city, including the MOMA and the Natural History Museum.
The pop-up enrollment center comes to the MOCA Aug. 16 and leaves Aug. 27, and you can make an appointment here (they don't guarantee that they'll be able to accommodate walk-ins).

Another enrollment center will open at Chatham Square Library from Aug. 30 to Sept. 17.
MOCA is at 147 Lafayette St. The pop-up center will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Aug. 27, it will close at noon.
