Knife-Wielding Thief Tied To 3 Robberies Over Weekend, Police Say
A knife-wielding thief was linked to three robberies over the weekend, police said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β Cops are looking for a person tied to a string of three robberies in which shop employees were held at knifepoint over Memorial Day weekend, the New York Police Department said.
From Chinatown and the Lower East Side to an incident in Bed-Stuy, a male in his late teens or twenties robbed two pizza shops and a deli, police said.
Saturday about 10:10 p.m., he jumped the counter at a 99cent Pizza at 109 Lafayette St. with a knife, demanding money from the 44-year-old employee, police said. The thief fled with $400, police said.

At Fahr Pizza at 117 Orchard St. Sunday about 9:30 p.m., police said the thief jumped the counter with a mask on and knife in-hand. He demanded money from the employee, 55, and ultimately fled with $150, police said.
Less than an hour later, the robber threatened an employee, 20, at Superstar Deli on 1164 Broadway in Bed-Stuy and took $20 from the cash register, police said.

None of the employees were injured, per cops.
The thief is about 18- to 25-years-old and 130 pounds, police said.
