Lego Live Opens In NYC

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — A massive Lego playground featuring millions of Star Wars Legos has arrived in a Galaxy not so far away.

Lego Live, the expo that creates giant gymnasiums dedicated to Lego building, opened in the Lower East Side on Friday and will stay open through Sunday.

Lego Live will be hosted at Pier 36, at 299 South St., the massive Lower East Side event space that holds 5,000 people.

The building block extravaganza brings millions of Lego bricks to cities around the world, and gives kids and adults a chance to build Lego universes with help from the experts. The most anticipated Lego brand coming to the expo will likely be Star Wars, with millions of themed blocks available shortly after the premiere of "The Last Jedi."

Manhattan's Lego Live event will be the only official Lego-hosted event of its kind in 2018, the company said. It'll also be the first time Lego Live has made a stop in Manhattan.

A standard ticket, which costs $30, will get you access to the giant Lego playground for four hours. You can buy tickets and learn more here.
