LES Stabbing Sends 1 To Hospital, FDNY Says

A person was stabbed on Madison Street about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the FDNY.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β€” A person was stabbed on the Lower East Side Wednesday morning, officials said.

Medics rushed to Madison and Rutgers streets about 8:25 a.m. to help a person who had been stabbed, the FDNY said.

The person, whose condition was not immediately known, was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, according to the FDNY.

Police did not have any information on the stabbing as of 9:20 a.m.

The stabbing occurred just blocks away from where four homeless men were beaten to death, and a fifth critically injured, in Chinatown last month.
