Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Woman, 82, On LES: NYPD

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Cops arrested a man for breaking into an elderly woman's apartment and sexually assaulting her, according to the NYPD.

David Alexander, 29, was arrested and charged for entering an 82-year-old woman's apartment at Rutgers Houses through her front door and assaulting her Sept. 17 about 6 p.m., according to police.

Alexander is accused of choking the woman and groping her while touching himself, police said.

Alexander, of The Bronx, was charged with felony assault, burglary, sex abuse and criminal obstruction of breathing, according to police.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition after the assault, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
