Man Climbs Scaffolding, Steals Power Tools In 2 Robberies: Cops

The man climbed up scaffolding twice in May to steal power tools from construction sites, cops said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β€” A man is climbing up scaffolding to steal power tools from construction sites in Manhattan in the middle of the night, cops said.

In two incidents last month, the man climbed up the scaffolding to steal power tools, cops said.

In one incident, the man robbed a construction site at 282 W. Fourth St. at West 11th Street in the West Village Friday, May 10 at 2 a.m., according to police.

Most recently, the man climbed scaffolding at a site at 165 Chrystie St. just west of Sara D. Roosevelt Park Tuesday, May 21, at 2:45 a.m., police said.

In surveillance images released by police, he is seen wearing a black sweatshirt and gloves.
