A 911 caller said the man, approximately in his 40s, jumped from a building on the Lower East Side, police said.
Officers got the call about 2:50 p.m., according to police.

As of 4:15 p.m., the man was conscious at Bellevue Hospital, police said.
The building was near Grand and Clinton Sts. in the Seventh Precinct, according to police. It was not immediately clear from what floor the man reportedly jumped.
