Man Struck By Subway At East Broadway Station: NYPD
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Update, 3:30 p.m.: An NYPD spokesman corrected earlier information, and said the man who was was rescued from the East Broadway station was not stuck under the tracks.
The spokesman said the man was in a train tunnel near the East Broadway station when he was hit on the head by a northbound train. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. It was not clear how the man came to be in the tunnel, the spokesman said.
LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β Police are working to rescue a man who was stuck under the F train tracks on the Lower East Side on Wednesday, authorities said.

The unidentified man appeared to be pinned under the tracks at the East Broadway subway station at about 12 p.m., an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. It was unclear whether the man was hit by a train or how he came to be pinned under the tracks, she said. His condition was not immediately clear, according to authorities.
Police officers and firefighters were still at the subway station as of 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday working to rescue the man, authorities said.

All northbound F trains were re-routed to stop along the A line between Jay Street and West Fourth Street while the investigation continues, the MTA said.
