New Museum Is Hosting A 'Literary Homage' to St. Valentine

Bookforum Magazine is organizing a "literary homage" to St. Valentine at the New Museum.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β€” If you're looking for a weekend event that combines the intellectual and the romantic, Bookforum Magazine is organizing a "literary homage" to St. Valentine on Friday night.

Bookforum will welcome multiple renowned writers at Friday's event, dubbed "False Starts," at the New Museum.

Marlon James, winner of the 2015 Man Booker Prize, will be be reading on Friday, according to Bookforum. Also on the lineup are readings by William Finnegan, Ed Park, Lynne Tillman and Joy Williams.

The event is in the "Sky Room" at the New Museum, 235 Bowery. The reading, which begins at 6 p.m., is free but an RSVP is required.
