New Orleans-Inspired Music Lounge And Restaurant Opens On LES
Canary Club has opened at Broome and Forsyth streets on the Lower East Side.
LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β A cocktail lounge, restaurant and live music club has opened on the Lower East Side.
Canary Club, drawing on the music and culture of New Orleans, opened Thursday at Broome and Forsyth streets, the restaurant announced.
Husband-and-wife duo Ryan Chadwick and Emily Frantz are behind the new restaurant, which will serve a menu of modern American dishes with French-Creole influences led by executive chef Tadd Johnson. Menu items include: caviar, charred chayote, black sesame carrot tempura, escargot, petite cochon and clams, and more.

Formerly of Grey Lady and Escobar Nightclub in Aspen, Chadwick's and Frantz's new lounge will play live music with jazz and funk in the evenings and dance music late at night.
Canary Club will soon open a private room for dinner called the Canary Supper Club, intended to be "reminiscent of Jazz-age French Salons but with a post-modern twist," the restaurant said in a release.

Canary Club is open at 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 303 Broome St.
