NYC Half Marathon: Route, Road Closures, Start Time
Here's everything you need to know for the 2018 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on Sunday.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β Just as you're recovering from St. Patrick's Day, the New York City half marathon will descend upon the city to clog the streets and crowd your neighborhood with overeager runners. An estimated 22,500 runners will run the course this year.
Here's your guide to the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, which will loop through Brooklyn and Manhattan on Sunday.
When is it? The 2018 half marathon is on Sunday, March 18 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Where is it? This year's route starts in Brooklyn and then goes into Manhattan, where it loops around Central Park. The race starts at Grand Army Plaza in Park Slope, where runners will take off down Flatbush Avenue and cross into Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The course then head north along the East Side of Manhattan before crossing into Midtown, where runners will enter Central Park for the last four miles of the race. What roads will be closed? You can expect the course route to be closed to traffic for at least a few hours. Here's the course map again. For most of the course, the roadway will close for parking starting Saturday at 10 p.m.

- Flatbush Avenue between Empire Boulevard and Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn
- Flatbush Avenue between Grand Army Plaza and Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn
- Manhattan Bridge Upper Level (Manhattan-bound)
- Canal Street between Manhattan Bridge and Rutgers Street
- Rutgers Street between Canal Street and East Broadway
- East Broadway between Rutgers Street and Grand Street
- Grand Street between East Broadway and Columbia Street
- Columbia Street between Grand Street and East Houston Street
- East Houston Street (eastbound) between Columbia Street and FDR Drive
- FDR Drive (northbound) between East Houston Street and 42nd Street
- 42nd Street between FDR Drive and 7th Avenue
- Seventh Avenue between 42nd Street and Central Park South
- 47th Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue
- 46th Street between Sixth Avenue and 7th Avenue
- West Drive between Central Park South and Center Drive
- Center Drive between West Drive and East Drive
- East Drive between Center Drive and 102nd Street Crossing
- 102nd Street Crossing between East Drive and West Drive
- West Drive between 102nd Street Crossing and Central Park South
