The cafe offers brunch options including smoothies, salads and, of course, avocado toast. The restaurant even offers a coffee avocado smoothie, according to Eater, made with an espresso shot, avocado, condensed milk and chocolate syrup. Beer and wine are also available.

Simon & the Whale

Where: 23 Lexington Ave., Gramercy

What to eat: Seafood and related dishes. The new restaurant opened inside the Freehand Hotel on Friday as the latest restaurant from the Happy Cooking hospitality group. Miznon

What to eat: This popular pita shop first opened in Tel Aviv in 2011, before spreading to cities around the world. Tender Greens
