Police Search For Missing Lower East Side Man
Jose Morales was last seen leaving his home on Thursday night.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β A Lower East Side man has been missing for nearly six days after he was last seen leaing his apartment, according to police.
Jose Morales, 78, was last seen on Thursday at 8 p.m. as he left his home near Forsyth and Stanton streets, according to the NYPD. He hasn't returned home or been seen by those who know him since, police said.
Authorities said that Morales is deaf and mute. They described him as 5'7" tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a waist length white jacket, a white shirt, tan pants and brown shoes.
