Proposed LES Senior Housing Towers Get Public Hearing
New Yorkers can voice their concerns over two proposed senior housing towers slated to rise on Broome Street at a public hearing next month.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β Senior housing towers proposed to be built on the site of a synagogue ravaged by fire will be up for debate at a public hearing next month, city records show.
Two proposed buildings β on Broome and Suffolk streets and Broome and Norfolk streets β will be discussed at a public hearing 10 a.m. Dec. 4 at the City Planning Commission Hearing Room at 120 Broadway, city records show.
The Gotham Organization and Chinese-American Planning Council are pitching one 373-unit, 30-story building with 25 percent below market rate units and a second 16-story building with 115 below market rate senior units, according to the project's scoping documents.
