Suspect Fires Shots at Man Outside Hamilton Madison House in Mid-Afternoon
The NYPD is looking for a man who fired shots at someone on the Lower East Side last Tuesday. No one was injured.
LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β Police are searching for a suspect who fired multiple shots at a man standing in front of Hamilton Madison House on Aug. 23.
According to the NYPD, the suspect fired a silver .22-caliber handgun repeatedly at a man outside 46 Madison St. last Tuesday at 5:34 p.m. The man was not struck by the gunfire.
The suspect is described by police as black, about 20 years old, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, red pants and black sneakers.

Shooting incidents are rare in the 5th Precinct, which covers Chinatown and the Lower East Side, according to NYPD statistics. There were no shootings incidents and no shooting victims through Aug. 21 of this year.
