Representatives for Target said that its new Lower East Side location was scheduled to open in March 2018, part of the superstore's larger expansion into New York City. In addition to the LES location, Target is working to open locations in Herald Square and in the East Village. It also announced on Monday that it would open another Queens location in 2018.

The store will open on the Lower East Side at 145 Clinton St., near Broome Street.
