LOWER EAST SIDE, NY β€” From the owners of the recently opened Thai restaurant Wayla, a new Thai takeout and grocery shop has opened up next door.

Little Wayla opened on the Lower East Side this month, offering lunchbox style to-go Thai dishes at 100 Forsyth St. between Broome and Grand streets on the Lower East Side.

Erika Chou and chef Tom Naumsuwan bring six to seven dishes that will rotate daily served in a lunchbox at the casual takeout spot. Naumsuwan, born and raised in Bangkok, was inspired to bring the lunchbox style by his time working with street vendors in Bangkok's markets.
