MANHATTAN, NY β€” Picking a restaurant in NYC can be daunting, with hundreds of different options that change frequently. Every week, Patch rounds up the best new restaurants and bars that have opened throughout the city. Here are the best new spots to grab dinner or a drink this weekend.


The Woodstock

Where: 446 W. 14th St., Meatpacking District

What to drink: Craft cocktails, priced at $10 a pop. The Woodstock opened Friday just steps from the High Line. The 1960s-inspired bar promises drinks and food at an affordable price point. The bar is themed like a 1960s living room, including a rotating set of 24 original Salvador Dali pieces. The Woodstock also offers thin-crust pizzas for $15 a pie. For guest with looking for "boujie" or "extra" spirits, you can still get an expensive Manhattan cocktail for between $15 and $20.

Where: 764 Tenth Ave., Hell's Kitchen

What to drink: Wine, plus some hearty snacks. The new Hell's Kitchen wine bar promises a fun atmosphere and a lengthy wine list. You can take a look at the full wine list here. The dinner menu includes pasta, charcuterie plates and zuppe.

What to eat: Frenchette is a new restaurant from Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson, two alums of the Keith McNally restaurant empire. Nasr and Hanson have worked at Balthazar, Minetta Tavern, Pastis and Schiller’s Liquor Bar before deciding to create their own spot. Frenchette is starting with dinner, but will eventually be open all day. The menu includes items like duck frites and foie gras toast.
