Woman Arrested For Racist Attack At McDonald's In Chinatown: Cops
A woman was arrested and charged for a racist beating at a McDonald's in Chinatown, cops said.

CHINATOWN, NY β A woman was arrested and charged for hurling racist statements at a man and hitting him in the face with a chair at a McDonald's in Chinatown, the New York Police Department said Wednesday.
Rosa Portelli, 49, of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, was arrested and charged for second-degree assault and a hate crime in the hate crime incident that happened Monday, March 25, police said.
A man, 33, was sitting at a McDonald's in Chinatown at 262 Canal St. that Monday about 10:25 a.m. β when Portelli allegedly made derogatory and "anti-Hispanic" remarks towards him, police said.

Police said she then picked up a chair and hit him in the face.
The man was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital for a face injury, police said.

The New York Post reported Portelli had been on Rikers Island since May 10 for other assault and criminal contempt charges.
