A woman made "anti-Hispanic" remarks towards a man in McDonald's just before throwing a chair at his face, police said.

CHINATOWN, NY β A woman made "anti-Hispanic" remarks towards a man just before throwing a chair at his face last Monday, police said.
A 33-year-old man was sitting at a McDonald's restaurant in Chinatown at 262 Canal St. at 10:25 a.m. last Monday, March 25, when the woman began making derogatory remarks towards him, police said.
She then picked up a chair and hit the man in the face, police said.

The man was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital for a face injury, police said.
Police said she fled the McDonald's and attempted to go into the Canal St. subway station, but couldn't make it past the turnstile.

The woman is described as 35- to 45-years-old, 5-feet 2-inches tall and 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a tan jacket, black pants and black and white sneakers, police said.
The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the attack.
