$1M+ Powerball Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley

The second-prize-winning ticket correctly selected five numbers without the Power Ball.

FISHKILL, NY — Some lucky person purchased a prize-winning Powerball ticket worth more than a million dollars in the Hudson Valley.

New York Lottery officials said the second-prize ticket worth $1,000,004 for the May 8 Powerball drawing was sold at Smokes 4 Less, 982 Main St., Unit 9, in Fishkill.

According to the New York Lottery website, the winning numbers for the May 8 Powerball drawing were 12-17-20-21-26, with the Power Ball 08. The second-prize-winning ticket chose the five numbers without the Power Ball.

The numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The drawing is televised at 10:59 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday.
