2 Accused Of Armed Robbery Of Deli
Police said the Orange County pair demanded money and said they had a gun.
DEERPARK, NY — Two Orange County residents were accused of robbing a deli while saying they had a gun.
The New York State Police said troopers responded around 1 p.m. Sunday to a burglary at the Westbrookville Deli on Route 209 in the town of Deerpark.
Police said the investigation found that Liam McCann and Katelynn Mercilliott, both 24 and from Deerpark, entered the deli and said they had a gun and demanded money.

The couple left the area in a gray 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt with Pennsylvania plates, police said.
The car was stopped by the Town of Deerpark Police Department on Oakland Valley Road, according to authorities.

McCann and Mercilliott were taken to the Wurtsboro barracks and charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies
Police said all proceeds from the robbery were recovered.
McCann and Mercilliott were sent to the Sullivan County jail in lieu of bail.
