Anderson Center for Autism Announces Fundraising Events

The fundraising events help bridge the gap between financial needs and resources to position the organization for a strong fiscal future.

From Anderson Center for Autism: Anderson Center for Autism today announced dates for upcoming fundraising events which help bridge the gap between financial needs and resources and serve to position the organization for a strong fiscal future.

The 2017 Anderson Center for Autism Golf Classic is set to take place on Thursday, June 15 at the Links at Union Vale (153 North Parliman Road, LaGrangeville, NY 12540). The event will kick off at 7:45am with registration and full breakfast followed by a shotgun start at 9am. Included in the event experience are post-golf cocktails, dinner, and raffles.
“This event helps us directly impact the lives of over 500 individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder; it is fun, light-hearted, and also gives us a chance to shed light on our cause,” say Eliza Bozenski, director of Anderson Foundation for Autism. “It is also a very popular event, as so many know someone impacted by Autism and want to do their part - so for anyone who has interest, we recommend making reservations right away!”
Kevin Kollar, vice chairman of the Anderson Foundation for Autism and senior vice president at FIS Global continued, “Not only are these events great fun, but they offer multiple opportunities for guests: they are a great way for supporters of Anderson to come together in a social environment and learn more about the organization’s initiatives, they give all of us a chance to thank the staff who work so hard on behalf of those we serve, and they serve as a platform for much-needed fundraising. We love attending, and always leave their events feeling inspired.”

The organization’s fundraising efforts go beyond the golf outing; the annual gala is scheduled for Saturday, October 7th at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie (theme is “Havana Nights”) and several local businesses, including Mill House Brewing Company, Grand Cru Beer and Cheese Market, the Gallery@Rhinebeck, and individual families have been hosting third-party fundraisers in recent months.

“We are building an incredible network of support in the community,” says Bozenski. “It seems that everyone knows someone who has been impacted by the rising incidence rates of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are moved by the number of people reaching out to help us achieve our mission of optimizing the quality of life for people with Autism; it is heartwarming to see our community get behind the individuals and families who need our support - truly inspiring.”

Eric Gorman, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Anderson Center for Autism and owner of Integrated Enterprise Solutions, Inc., adds, “Anderson’s mission to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism is so much more than that. By improving the quality of life for those individuals, it improves the quality of life for their families, community and ultimately all of us. So raising funds and awareness not only helps those individuals with autism, but we all benefit from supporting Anderson’s mission.”
