POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The new coronavirus outbreak has forced the cancellation of Vassar & New York State and Film's Powerhouse Theater for the 2020 summer season. Held annually for more than 30 years on the Vassar College campus, it was originally scheduled for June 19 through July 26.

New York Stage and Film Artistic Director Chris Burney said it was a difficult decision to cancel the season, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
