Drummer Axed On 'Fox & Friends' Sues
The West Point resident's lawsuit claims the Fox & Friends host had no training to throw an ax in public.

WEST POINT, NY — An Orange County man is suing “Fox & Friends” after getting whacked by an ax on the Fox News network morning show. Jeff Prosperie of West Point was injured when “Fox & Friends” host Peter Hegseth threw an ax at a target that went over the intended bullseye and hurt Prosperie in 2015.
The 14-page lawsuit names the program, Fox News Corp. and Hegseth as defendants, among others, alleging a reckless disregard for the safety of others, the New York Daily News said.
Prosperie was appearing on the show performing for a Flag Day segment as a West Point drummer.

The suit claims Hegseth had no training for throwing an ax in public.
A spokeswoman for FOX News said the incident involving Jeff Prosperie from 2015 was unfortunate and completely unintentional. "FOX News immediately apologized to Prosperie and offered medical assistance, which he declined saying he was ‘OK.’ The network also offered compensation, which he declined as well. We have not heard from Prosperie since 2015, so the lawsuit is surprising and we are reviewing it,” she said.
