Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley

Up to 2.5 inches of rain is expected from the storm.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A flood advisory has been issued for parts of the mid-Hudson Valley Monday.

The National Weather Service said an urban and small stream flood advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. Monday for southwestern Columbia, Dutchess, Greene and Ulster counties.

Shortly before 2 p.m. Doppler radar indicated heavy rain.

The weather service that was causing urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen.

An additional 1 inch of rain is expected to fall over the area, which will result in minor flooding, especially in urban areas or where fallen leaves clog storm drains.
