Former Poughkeepsie Resident Shot, Killed Friday
The man was with friends at a home on Washington Street when the shooting occurred.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 21-year-old former city of Poughkeepsie resident was shot and killed early Friday morning.
The North Carolina resident was with friends on the back porch of a home on Washington Street when someone shot more than 10 times at them from Marshall Street shortly after 1 a.m., the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This is the second shooting in the city this week.
Shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, a 14-year-old city resident was shot several times in his arm and jaw, MidHudson News reported.

The teen was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital and later airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.
