HBO Production Suspended In Wake Of Fire

ELLENVILLE, NY — In the wake of a massive fire that destroyed a car dealership that was serving as a set for a television miniseries, HBO has shut down "I Know This Much Is True," a production starring Mark Ruffalo and Ulster County's Melissa Leo.

A statement from the cable network said that the fire is under investigation and production is expected to resume shortly, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

Police said the fire began shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday at 613 Automotive, 188 South Main St. in the Village of Ellenville.

Officials said the building was totally destroyed, as were about 20 vintage cars and pieces of film equipment. No one was injured.

The miniseries has been seen filming around the Hudson Valley, including Wappingers Falls.

According to imdb.com, the miniseries also stars Juliette Lewis and former Rockland resident Rosie O'Donnell.
