Heavy Rainfall, Hazardous Weather In Mid-Hudson Forecast

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Parts of the mid-Hudson Valley is looking at some heavy rainfall Friday.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for western Columbia, eastern Ulster and Dutchess counties.

Meteorologists said a storm system is forecast to impact the area Friday night that will result in widespread precipitation.

Some locally heavy rainfall may produce ponding of water on roads and in poor drainage areas.

A light snowfall across the higher terrain looks possible, the weather service said, depending on the storm track, for Friday night and Saturday.
