High School Teacher, Coach Killed In Car Crash New Year's Day
Police said he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the roadway.

HIGHLAND FALLS, NY — An English teacher and coach at James I. O’Neill High School in Highland Falls was killed New Year’s Day in a car crash. Police said Christopher Page, 27, of Wallkill, was driving on Route 300 around 6:45 a.m. Monday when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway and struck a utility pole, recordonline.com said.
A letter to the community from O’Neill High School Principal Debbie M. Brand said Page was beloved and did much for the school and the community, “all while touching the lives of students, their families and his colleagues.”
Brand said a team of grief counselors will be available to help students and others through the grieving process.
