Kingston Schools Food Service Suspended Because Of Coronavirus
The county's health department said it believed the test may have been a false positive.

KINGSTON, NY — Food service for the Kingston City School District was suspended because a member of the Food Service Department tested positive for the new coronavirus. In a post on the district's website, school officials said the Ulster County Department of Health believes the test may be a false positive. It is sending the test result to the state laboratory for reexamination.
District officials said, out of an abundance of caution, food service operations are being suspended. Further communication as to when meal distribution will resume will be available soon.
"The safety of our staff, students and community is our number one priority," the district said in the post. "The Food Service kitchens, prep area and vehicles will all undergo both deep cleaning and disinfection. We will continue to work with the Health Department to ensure our facility is ready to resume operations as soon as possible," the post said.
