Mid-Hudson 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to clean that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day holiday. We gathered up the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around the mid-Hudson Valley so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store in and around the mid-Hudson Valley:

July 4

City of Poughkeepsie fireworks on the Walkway Over the Hudson State Park. Begins between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Walkway will be open to ticket holders. Tickets available online and at Adam’s in Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls. $10 for Walkway members, veterans and seniors; $12.50 for general admission. Children 10 and under free. Rain date July 5.

Kingston, T.R. Gallo Waterfront Park, 73 W. Strand St., 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Kingston fireworks will include food, music and activities, with fireworks at 9:30PM.

July 6
West Point: Independence Day Celebration, at West Point’s Trophy Point Amphitheater, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6 (rain date of July 7). Grab a blanket, bring a picnic, and enjoy a wide variety of music ranging from traditional field music to today’s popular hits, and everything in between. Guests are advised to arrive early, as this impressive celebration of music and fireworks is one of the best attended events of the year.
