New medical oncologist/hematologist joins Nuvance Health

Medical oncologist/hematologist Dr. Faisal Waheed has joined Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Dr. Waheed brings more than 14 years of medical oncology and hematology experience to patients in Kingston, Poughkeepsie, and Rhinebeck, New York.

Dr. Waheed is board-certified in medical oncology. Prior to Nuvance Health Medical Practice, Dr. Waheed was an attending oncologist/hematologist at Kingston Oncology & Hematology in Kingston, New York. He earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency and fellowship at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, in Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Waheed is committed to providing personalized care for his patients using evidence-based chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hormone therapy treatments.

“I work collaboratively with surgical oncologists and radiation oncologists to develop multidisciplinary care plans that incorporate the latest medical oncology treatments tailored to each patient’s condition,” said Dr. Waheed.

A married father of two, Dr. Waheed has been practicing in the Hudson Valley since 2006. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys traveling around the world and running or biking on the Dutchess County Trail.
