News 12 Comes To Verizon Fios TV Lineup
The news channels debuted earlier than the company had originally announced.
If you are a Verizon Fios cable subscriber and are channel surfing Monday, you might run across two additions to your television lineup. News 12, which was scheduled to replace Fios1 News when the latter goes dark Nov. 15.
However both News 12 Westchester and News 12 Long Island can be accessed on Verizon Fios cable Monday. The Westchester version of the 24-hour-a-day news and weather channel is on channels 29 and 529. The LI version is on 30 and 530.
Verizon announced in August that it would shutter the Fios1 News division, putting 150 employees out of work.

The network had recently celebrated its 10th anniversary on the air.
