NY Sets Up New Mass Vaccination Site In Hudson Valley
The site, which will be open for six days, will be at Marist College in Poughkeepsie and will be giving out the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — New York State is opening three new short-term mass vaccination sites, one of which will be in Poughkeepsie.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday the new sites will administer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, in an expansion of the state's roll-out of the new vaccine.
The site in Poughkeepsie is located at Marist College, 51 Fulton St. in Poughkeepsie.

The two other sites are at SUNY Genesee Community College in Batavia and Jamestown Community College – Olean Campus in Olean.
Cuomo said the J&J vaccine opens an important new chapter in the state's efforts to vaccinate all New Yorker for the new coronavirus.

"These three new sites will get shots in arms on a large scale in critical parts of the state," he said, "and the vaccine's ease of storage and administration will help us simplify the process statewide."
Cuomo said that vaccinating as many of New York's residents as possible is vital to protecting the public's health and, ultimately, defeating the virus.
Eligible New Yorkers are able to schedule appointments by utilizing New York's 'Am I Eligible' website or by calling the state's COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829).
The vaccines at Marist College will be distributed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Wednesday.
