Pedestrian Killed On Newburgh-Beacon Bridge

State police released photos taken of the vehicles possibly involved in the crash.

FISHKILL, NY — A pedestrian was killed Sunday night in a motor vehicle crash on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.

The New York State Police said the incident happened around 11:30 p.m.

Troopers said a pedestrian was seen on bridge security cameras walking on the southern span of the bridge.

After they got to the location, police found a man who was dead. He was identified as Stephen Tomlins, 41, of Beacon.

Authorities said only still frames from bridge camera footage was available. They show the possible vehicles involved in the crash, police said.

State police are asking for anyone who was driving at the time or who witnessed the incident to call them at 845-677-7300.
