Pine Plains Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child

GALLATIN, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of sexually abusing a child less than 11 years old.

The New York State Police said Pedro Garcia Sanchez, 35, of Pine Plains, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child and forcible touching, misdemeanors.

After receiving a tip, law enforcement began an investigation in March that found Sanchez abused a victim under the age of 11.

He was arraigned in the Gallatin Court and was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
