Police ID Body Found In Wappinger Creek

LAGRANGE, NY — Police have identified a body recovered from the Wappinger Creek in Overlook Park in the town of LaGrange.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was found Saturday. He was wearing a short-sleeve polo shirt with a Jamaican flag emblem on the left chest.

Police said he had a two-tone gold ring with diamonds on his right ring finger.

The cause of death is still under investigation, authorities said.

Police said further details will be released when appropriate.
