Putnam SPCA to Hold Seminar on Animal Cruelty

Animal cruelty seminar to be held in Carmel on April 9

The Putnam County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will hold a seminar on animal cruelty on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. The seminar will be held at Paladin Center in Carmel.

The PCSPCA is a certified law enforcement agency with a mission to prevent cruelty to animals. Its mission is to enforce the cruelty statues of New York State and also to provide medical care and shelter to abused animals and humane education to schools and other groups. The PCSPCA has law enforcement powers granted by the state and responds to complaints about suspected animal cruelty. It also provides “a means to stop the link between animal cruelty and child abuse, elder abuse, domestic violence, and human suffering. At times the SPCA is the first and only agency contacting victims of such crimes,” the PCSPCA said in a statement.

The Paladin Center is located at 39 Seminary Hill Road in Carmel. Please call for reservations online at infor@spcaputnam.org or call 845-520-6915. 7
