Rep. Maloney To Lead House Democratic Fundraising Arm
Maloney just won re-election to a fifth term representing the 18th Congressional District.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-Cold Spring, was elected to lead the House Democratic Party's campaign arm.
He was chosen Thursday by his colleagues in the Democratic Caucus to head the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Maloney, who was just re-elected to Congress for a fifth term, said he was was honored to have earned the trust of his fellow Democrats and can't wait to get to work.

"There is so much on the line for American families right now," he said in a prepared statement. "As we work to recover and rebuild from this pandemic, it will be essential that we have strong leaders in Congress who will fight for the health and success of every American."
Maloney, who represents the 18th Congressional District, said a strong Democratic majority in 2022 will be necessary to accomplish the goal.

He was nominated by Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-California.
Maloney defeated Rep. Tony Cardenas, D-California, 119 to 107, The Hill reported.
The current chairwoman, Rep. Cheri Bustos, D-Illinois, said she would not be seeking a second term after House Democrats had a series of losses in down-ballot races.
The 18th Congressional District is comprised of Orange and Putnam counties and parts of Westchester and Dutchess counties.
