Salsa Fresca Treats Marist Vaccination Team To Lunch
The Mexican fast-casual restaurant provided the food to the vaccinators at the Marist College short-term mass vaccination site recently.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Marist College in Poughkeepsie was recently the site of a short-term mass vaccination site, as announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and a neighboring restaurant helped out by providing lunch to the medical staff.
The vaccination site, located in the former art building at 51 Fulton St. was expected to give out 3,500 doses of the "one and done" single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
According to information from Dutchess County, the state-run site saw all its appointments for the entire six days snapped up within minutes of the announcement.

Neighboring business Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill saw an opportunity to help out by feeding the vaccination team from MidHudson Regional Hospital.
The fast-casual restaurant delivered lunch recently to the team as a way to show appreciation.
